The concept of CaskBaatar's artwork is that the artist Yideer, as a Mongolian in the 21st century, creates his work with the silhouette of a Mongolian male, recalling the history and culture of the Mongolian people while expressing the state of contemporary Mongolians.
The work is more about portraying the "21st century Mongolian" in Yideer's eyes, giving the character a mysterious sense of tradition and modernity, classical and future with his perspective.
Islay—a pilgrimage destination for peat whisky lovers.
Islay is one of Scotland's legal whisky sub-regions, and because of the abundance of peat, the island's whisky is mostly known for its strong peat flavor. The thick smoke mixed with the wet and salty sea breeze produces a wild peaty smoky whisky.
So productive is Islay that it is often forgotten how small it is, just 24 kilometers at its longest point, with a resident population of about 3,000, yet housing 11 (and more to come) whisky distilleries.
We have combined these two elements of mystery in a cultural clash between the West and the East.
